While in Michigan last weekend I was captivated by a line of trees ( The Rising Phoenix's)that appeared to be on fire and surrounded by a blanket of bright blue sky. The natural sunlight bounced off the red/orange leaves creating a sense of high energy and beauty. The verticality of the trees while branching out in all directions reminded me of the rising of The Phoenix. The trees were expressing their true colors and the natural light accentuated the various hues of the fire like leafs. Overall, I got a feeling of rising upward, rebirth, expansion and change. It is appropriate the the song Everything Must Change began to play as I began to write this blog.
The leaves of the trees must change and express themselves before they fall away for the winter months. The ideas of fully expressing oneself and change are the dominant feelings I retain from this picture. The brightness of the sky seemed to enhance the intensity of the trees warmth and gave
me a feeling of support from ones surroundings. The line of "The rising Phoenix's denoted strength on a journey to the next level of their expression.
We sometimes forget that it is light that gives us color and clarity - this image reminds me of that - these trees would not have their same impact on an overcast day - beautiful image
